England Have Been Sent Packing By Germany

All English supporters were hoping for a big thing from England this World cup. But that never came as they were knocked in the last 16 by Germany. Not just knocked out they were beaten brutally and brilliantly by the Germans. I saw the game at my local pub and the owner was not happy of the outcome and he broke his antique oak furniture because of dismal performance from England against Germany. He told me that it was his grand father’s furniture which survived World war 2 and the fire at their old home.

That is a hell of a story? I think so. Let’s talk about what happened to England in the last 16. Many say they didn’t really show what they were made off in the whole World cup let alone last 16, which I think is very true. Though I did think England played a bit better than their group matches but were unlucky not to be 2 each in half time. England did have a chance to show what they were made of in the second 45 minutes but that never happened. Germany were just awesome in the second half but the way England gave away the goals were just awful.

Having saying how poor England were I thought Germany were very good defending wise and brilliant attacking wise. They have shown they can do well even without their top players. Michael Ballack has been missing from the centre midfield and Bastian Schweinsteiger has taken the role and leadership with ease. Mesut Ozil and Thomas Muller both have had a great tournament so far for Germany. Shame Rooney could not star for England but was he injured? I still think that Sir Alex Ferguson played Rooney too often even when he was returning back from the injury. But it was an injury and it makes the difference.

Even I feel like throwing my New England furniture or black ash furniture at that terrible performance from England.
