FAQ Time Clock Settings For Swimming Pools
How long do I set my time clock for?
Short answer is 4-6 hours. The reason behind this to actually save money. Yes I said save money. You probably think that running you pump and motor will cost you money the more the run them. Well you are wrong. You will spend more money on chemicals then on your electric bill.
Why you save money.
The more you filter can filter out by running your pump and motor the less your chemicals will get used up killing all the dirt and bacteria. So in short more filtered out less to kill. Which equals less money out of your pocket.
Are there times to run my time clock for longer?
There are times when you need to set your time clock to continuous. This means let you pump and motor run 24 hours a day for 3-5 days in a row. Whenever you just fill a pool up or have a green pool that needs “Fire Up” then you need to run you pump continuous for 3-5 days to get results and a clear blue pool.
What is Fire Up for my swimming pool?
“Fire Up” is when you get your chlorine level to 10ppm. This when you get your chlorine level to 3-4 times the usual level that you keep it all year round. So in short just add 3-4 times the amount of chlorine that you would one regular basis.

Fire Up Service is when a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) comes to your residence and finds a “swamp like pool” and turns it crystal clear again.
How much does it cost?
Fire Up Service for the Palm Beach resident averages between $100.00 – $150.00 depending on the size of your pool.
How long does it take?
Fire Up Service usually takes about 30 minutes each visit. There will be on average about 3 – 4 visits until the entire process is complete and your pool is ready to swim in again. The process averages anywhere from 7 – 14 days.
