23 Years ago my husband purchased a vintage Elgin ladies watch where the face is sideways. He paid $100.?
It’s really unusual and beautiful! The glass is almost amber-colored and I believe it is real gold. The 12 is where the 3 should be, so that if you hold your hand straight up, it is in correct position to read. I have not been able to get this watch out of my head because I have never seen one since and have not been able to find anything on it. Someone did tell me that this could be a “driving” watch from the 30-40′s. She lives miles away and I don’t want to act too interested, I’m hoping it will be left to me in her will…
