The Girard Perregaux Enzo Ferrari Triple Bridge Tourbillon Watch

As a tribute to Enzo Ferrari, Girard-Perregaux designed the Girard Perregaux Enzo Ferrari Triple Bridge Tourbillon Model # 99190-53-611-BA6A men’s watch. This exciting watch features Tourbillon with three gold bridges. This very interesting escapemnet is visible through the anti-reflective Sapphire crystal that is secured to the case back with six screws. The 40 mm case is of 18 K white gold and is carried by a black leather strap bracelet.

The unique black “Rainbow” dial of the Girard Perregaux Enzo Ferrari Triple Bridge Tourbillon Model # 99190-53-611-BA6A is actually a black dial with colored Arabic numeral hour markers and a “Rainbow” of color on the perpetual calendar month subdial at the 9 o’clock position. The perpetual calendar is embedded with the chronograph subdials. Each subdial has an outer and an inner ring, with the outer ring a perpetual calendar function and the inner ring a chronograph function. The subdial at the 3 o’clock position shows the 24 hour display and the day/night indicators. All of this is secured by another anti-reflective Sapphire crystal.

The outer edge of the dial of the Girard Perregaux Enzo Ferrari Triple Bridge Tourbillon Model # 99190-53-611-BA6A contains a tachymeter. Only 349 pieces were ever produced, so this exhibition luxury watch is definitely a collector’s item. For the sporty man, it is elegance and function combined.

Girard-Perregaux was founded in 1856 when Constantin Girard married Marie Perregaux. Soon after, the company really made a name for itself when it unveiled at the Paris Universal Exhibition the masterpiece, “Tourbillon Sous Trois Ponts d’Or” (translation: Tourbillon with Three Gold Bridges). 150 years later, Girard-Perregaux is still intact. The brand has taken off since 1992 when Italian entrpreneur, architect and former racing driver Luigi Macaluso took over the reins of GP. Today it enjoys the status and reputation and acceptance as one of Switzerland’s elite watch manufacturing companies in the same company with Jaeger LeCoultre and Ulysses Nardin.
