How do open a old Illinois railroad pocketwatch?
I need to take pictures of the movement.Is there a special tool I need or a certain way?
There should be a notch between the body and the cover. If not take it to a jeweler and have them open it with a watch knife. It won’t cost anything to have it done. You might even get an offer if you intend to sell it. Personally, I would keep it even if it doesn’t run.
