Gok Wan Is An Inspiration To Woman Of All Sizes

I was flicking channels the other night and managed to catch Gok Wan in his highly entertaining show ‘How To Look Good Naked’.   This programme absolutely fascinates me because he doesn’t have stick thin women on his show. Instead he has what I would class as ‘normal’ women, all of whom are just an average build.   However, when these women look in the mirror they don’t see who they really are, and mostly think they look larger than they actually are.   Gok is brilliant because he sees the real person in everybody.

What I think is great is that he never makes the women go on a diet to try to achieve a better look. Instead what he aims to do is simple – he builds up their confidence and self esteem to help them to see that they are beautiful as they are.

The show I watched the other evening had a lady on who was a size 14. This is nothing wrong with having a size 14 figure, but she was feeling frumpy and not attractive. She really hated the fact that she was nearly 6ft in height. Seeing Gok cast his magic wand over her was so inspiring as he doesn’t actually do a great deal.   He showed her what sort of clothes she could wear, and put her in some killer heels, but apart from that everything she achieved was because she was starting to have confidence in her body and actually beginning to like who she was and what she saw.

One vital tip I have picked up from Gok’s show is that it is important to not only wear the right clothes that suit your size, but imperative to accessorise your clothing.

A lot of the time it would definitely be the accessories that can make or break the outfit.  Bearing this in mind, I have recently built up my collection of silver chains and silver pendants.  I think that silver compliments any item of clothing and now I have a collection of silver sets ready for any occasion.

All I need now is for Gok to pop round to my house and help me to improve my confidence!
