Web-Based Time Clocks – Accessible AND Efficient
Web based time clocks are newer and much easier alternatives to the traditional time clock. More and more often, paper time sheets are being replaced by simple software systems that are incredibly easy to use and much more efficient than older time and attendance systems.
Web based time clocks are incredibly easy to access. These time clocks can be accessed from virtually anywhere in the world, meaning that employees who do a lot of work outside of the office can access their time clock to clock in and out whenever they need to as opposed to manually recording their hours and having someone else manually input them into the system. Being able to access the time clock from anywhere gives employees a sense of relief, knowing that they don’t have to depend on someone else accurately calculating their time. It also helps employers relax a little more too, because while the employees are worried about getting underpaid because of a coworker’s error, the employers are worried about accidentally overpaying the same employee. This allows supervisors to approve them early so that the employee can have the time off guaranteed and scheduled as opposed to having an employee pull out an incredibly late last-minute request for a week or two off. This can also eliminate the chance of multiple employees trying to take the same day off. While it may not completely eliminate last-minute requests for time off, it is easy to access and easy to use, so employees won’t mind scheduling their time off early.
